VIST Inalet-4 and Inalet-18
Permalink

From Krila 6, 1993 (a model of the Inalet-18 is depicted):

During the Moscow exhibition, many ideas and projects were presented, but if and when they will be realized, time will tell. VIST Company presented an aircraft model with the characteristics of VSTOL Inalet-4 and lnalet-18. In appearance, this aircraft is of a rather unusual shape with a large rotor in the central part of the fuselage and two high-mounted propellers on the tail section for horizontal flight. The lnlet-4 is designed for four passengers and is suitable for observation, photography, and search-and-rescue. It is said to be equipped with two Allison 250-C2OR engines mounted in the extended rear of the twin hull and would be used for horizontal and vertical drive system. The flight is much larger, as it is intended for 18 passengers or 16 soldiers or up to 2.5 tons of cargo, six wounded or similar. Four engines are supposed to be installed similarly to the Inalet-4, and each of them would have a power of 1640 kW (2200 hp). The engines are Russian-made Klimov TV3-117VK.
