I had given the right type and spelling!!! Why retroistic? Not only do the answers take days in coming, but the rules are not respected. I'm strongly tempted to quit this forum, guys!
Excuse me Stephane, but the rules are to post the specific variant, which means the manufacturer name as well as designation. All you had to say was "Filper Beta". Really? That really narrows it down! The whole point of this variant challenge is to distinguish a variant between, say, models 100/200/300/400/1000, etc. So, of course, Retro's more specific answer is the winner.
That being said, you are taking these games WAY too seriously! If you want to leave the forum because something doesn't go your way on a little forum game, then by all means stomp your way out the door like a child. We exist to discuss the history/development/etc. of rotorcraft and other VTOL aircraft. We are not a game forum.
I only started these games as a way to make this forum more fun to come to, but it shouldn't ever be the main focus of its operation. I hope you understand and decide to change your mind about leaving because of trivial misunderstandings such as this. You are a great assissting administrator. I'd hate to loose you.

dont quit man, it would be a serious blow to the forum if you left and in my opinion there is no one more suited to the position you hold than yourself, dont let one little incident ruin it for you, i learnt that the hard way and i really dont want you to go :'(

Okay guys, I overreacted because, well... the games are the only thing that keeps me coming to this forum everyday. When someone misspells a name and wins, when I already gave 90% of the answer, yes it does bug me (but then I've always been a bad loser).
I'm tired of checking in two or three times a day every day and seeing that no-one has posted stuff. And when the stuff that has been posted is only non-rotorcraft stuff like ponies, songs, or movies, I can't help but think that I do not belong here anymore.
I've become a global moderator on Secret Projects and it takes up A LOT of my time. I go through all the very old posts and split, slice, merge to give the whole thing some sense and coherence. But this here forum is a mess with little organization and I strongly feel that Stingray is nowhere near as interested in running it as he once was.
All in all, I'd rather give my time and energy to a forum that truly is going to be a reference place to others. That's what SPF is. I once thought SRF might become just that too, but I guess I was wrong.
So no offense meant to anyone, guys. There are folks over here whom I enjoy reading a lot, and I'll miss you. But right now apart from rotorwash's excellent Bell-related material SRF is simply a duplicate of what gets posted on SPF, or just about. I can't be bothered. I'm off! Will it last? Will I change my mind? I don't know.
For those who'd like to keep in touch my e-mail is bispro(at)online.fr
But just so you know, my enthusiasm in running this place has never changed. In fact, with such an increase in activity I feel even more enthused. Here is the problem: Time. I'm 18 now, so many, many things are piling up on my plate. As much as I love coming here, I'm afraid I must take care of higher priorities first, or I may never see this place again.
All best wishes Stephane, and hope to see you again soon.

I feel that way too, but I've come to learn that forums don't often serve on a daily basis. Forums like this take patience, which is hard to come by on the internet. Let's face it, some people just find it boring and say "heck with it, I got better things to do." I've been there. But it takes friendly community to convince me otherwise. I find this place to be a "fun" aerospace site, easy to make friends in, and is the only reason I stayed (well, before I left because of various other obligations).
However, I understand your reason for leaving and only hope we will live up to what you have hoped for when you first came here. Maybe then you'll find this place just as enjoyable as SPF.
So for now, farewell and wishing you all the best.

Who cares if he mispelled "Filper"? He knew the right spelling and made a typo. He at least gave the whole type, while you just shouted a company name. Why be so sore about it?

Dear Princess Celestia,
Today I learned that nopony kicks ass without tanker gas. Nopony!
Remember when the challenges use to be so much harder? We would almost flood pages with guesses until one of us got it right. I miss that.
In all honesty I could care less how difficult the challenges are, as long as they move at a faster pace. These games have been sloooooooooooooow lately!
