Fake. It originated from the PC game Act of War: High Treason.

The Russian Helicopters manufacturer is planning to develop the first helicpero combat fifth-generation, which analysts say could be capable of attacking fighter jets and be invisible to radar, the daily newspaper Gazeta said on Thursday.

"We are working on the concept of a combat helicopter of the fifth-generation," as reported to the CEO, Andrei Shibitov at a press conference in Moscow.

Shibitov did not specify the characteristics of the helicopter, but said the company is considering investing about $ 1 billion project, with more investments to be allocated from the state budget.

The CEO said the project office is working on Mil rotor classical model, which has a large main rotor and an impeller child, while the Kamov designers are developing a model coaxial rotors.
Military analysts believe that the model of coaxial rotors is more stable and easier to operate while the classical model is more reliable and has a high level of survival on the battlefield.

The first deputy head of the Russian Academy of Geopolitical Affairs, Konstantin Sivkov told the newspaper that the attack helicopters of the fifth-generation have never been made before, although the United States have worked on a similar project before.

He said the combat helicopter for the fifth-generation should have a low radar signature, a high reduction in noise, an extended-range flight, be equipped with a computerized gun control, have the ability to fight against fighter jets ( existing helicopters usually only have the ability to attack ground targets) and reach speeds of up to 500-600 kph (310-370 mph).

The project can not proceed, however, without government support.

"If the government does not sign a contract, the idea will not leave the paper," said the head of the Russian Academy of Geopolitical Affairs, Leonid Ivashov, told Gazeta.

Ivashov said that with sufficient investment and good organization of the new helicopter could be constructed within five years. However, with sufficient investment That said good organization and the new built helicopter Could Be Within five years. Otherwise, the project could drag on for 20 or 30 years.

But he was a little skeptical about the chances of the project.

"We have tried to solve everything - the fifth-generation fighter, the fifth-generation helicopters, but none has been provided for the army - but now the army still uses helicopters produced in the 70s," said Ivashov.

The main Russian combat helicopter, the Mi-24 Hind helicopter is a third generation, and the few Mi-28 Havoc, Ka-50 and Ka-52 Hokum, which only began to be delivered to the Russian army, are fourth-generation helicopters.

The fact that Kamov participated in the design makes it confusing, this is why so many people think this is in fact a real proposal!

I guess but what's the point? You can't make a helicopter stealth capable.

Not as much as fast moving aircraft because of the helicopter blades and the engines give off a large IR signature.

true, but still the comache was the first helicopter to give off a relatively low radar signature, similar to that of a medium rc plane
