Yes, the show has a LOT of flaws, but what ever happened to it? I was watching the Military Channel a few days ago and saw three episodes. I sort of liked it (because I'm a sucker for Mad Max / Twisted Metal style car combat) so I searched for more episodes. All I could find were the previous 3 episodes I already watched. Are there more or did the show get cancelled early?

I saw the show. I think they only made the three episodes.
Gunship, yes the guns do shoot. The only thing staged about that was the use of explosions and pyrotechnics... come on, machine gun fire making cars and junk explode? That is so Hollywood!

They don't shoot in the challenges. They just cut to wide-angle camera shots so you don't notice the lack of flying bullets and instead you hear horrible stock sounds of gunfire. Look close at the vehicles: Tell me if you see one bullet hole! See any at all? I didn't think so. Yeah even the explosions are staged. They shoot the guns at the targets and the cut to them exploding by means of remote detonation. Everything is staged.

That's your clue, Stingray. The first three epps of Weaponizers were so awful the show got subterranean ratings and the producers pulled the plug. I will admit that I was lured into watching it when I found out it was from the same producers as Mythbusters and had the irresistible car combat, guns, and explosions that everybody loves. Unfortunately I was in for an unpleasant surprise.
Two teams take ordinary vehicles and turn them into post-apocalyptic fighting machines and battle them out in a desert "battleground". The vehicles are remote-controlled for the drivers' safety. But before they can blow each other away, they have to go through these ridiculous missions where they either protect or destroy targets.
Do yourself a favor and play the Twisted Metal games instead.
A wise alternative. Keep in mind there are also a lot of rip-offs out there, but they are addictive to play.
One to name is "Vigilante 8". Obviously based on the Twisted Metal idea but I still like to play it. I just wish the cars could have bigger weapon inventories like in the better game series.
