Any project that involves both aircraft AND women is great news.
There are so few of you ladies on the forums and on the web that such a project must be encouraged at any cost!!

Now my opinion in a few words: instead of picking up stuff that's just been posted on SRF (which itself was posted on SPF only hours before...) you really ought to go for different material. When I browse all my Firefox thumbs to check what's new on my favorite sites, I really don't want to read the same thing three times!!

All in all, even if you choose to pick the same stuff, what will REALLY make the difference is the editorial contents. How you write, what you say, and how you say it. From what I've seen so far you write well and it makes for enjoyable reading, so keep it up, gal! wink.gif

I promise to do my best at being original as possible, even with stuff already on SPF/SRF. But my plans are to expand my horizons as far as sources and info, to the point of being a helpful source in itself. ;)

Hi Leela25, I very much like your new site. Very interesting things you have posted. However I frequently check in and find no new updates. I do not mean to rush you into this as I am simply just curious about your absence.

Damn I forgot! D:

I'll update as soon as I can. By soon I mean today or tomorrow, not another week (or two?) :P

Noooooo! Don't shut it down, you have some really rare content uploaded there. I suggest you leave it there for others to read, and perhaps there will be a time you actually do have the time for an update? It's not like you have to do it every day...

Don't shut it down !
Keep it aside instead ! Trust me it's better if you keep it alive, even if it's not updated frequently.
I can't come here often but that's not for that reason that I'd delete my account here.

Hi Leela, I just checked out your blog and have a query about the 'Fan of the S-67?' entry.

Are you sure that it was a 7-blade fan-in-fin tested on the S-67? I have an RAH-66 Comanche DVD with the actual footage of that pic on your blog and although it doesn't directly specify what type of fan-in-fin is shown, I believe it would be the 8-bladed fan-in-fin because I think it was used as an early FANTAIL testbed for the LHX/Comanche program.

Please correct and punish me if I'm wrong, mistress!

By the way, if anyone is interested in that aforementioned footage, I can provide it. Oh, and thanks for saying what that helicopter is, it didn't actually say in the DVD (I don't think).

I remember it being a general performance test. I really don't think it was related because the S-76 SHADOW (N3124G) was already being used for fenestron and shape tests for the Comanche.

But if I am wrong and it WAS part of the program, I still find it unlikely it was the same Fenestron. Multiple sources claim it to be a 7-blade instead of 8. :P

And please, we wanna see the footage! It'll be a treat seeing such a rare birdy in action! :D

Thanks, Leela. Can you point me to a source where it states about a 7-blade ducted fan? I just had a quick look at the Wikipedia article but it doesn't specify how many blades the fan had.

Yeah, thinking about it, it does seem a little early (1974) for this to be part of the Comanche program, or even LHX! Sorry mistress (kisses feet)!

I will do my best to capture the footage of the S-67 with ducted fan from the DVD I have, and will show the link when I have uploaded it. Unfortunately I will be restricted to about 1 minute of footage because the DVD player software with record feature that I use (BlazeDVD 6.0) only allows that much recording time with the free version.

UPDATE: I just made a new topic and it contains the footage of the S-67...
