nothing of interest, just the same stuff popping up and more speculations. The 160th and the Govournment are doing a good job of keeping it mostly under wraps

Maybe something new and more concrete soon, as well as relevant historical information. If I'm able to post it it will be here rather than SPF.

i was watching a documentary which stated again that the 160th SOAR had a QRF with two CH-47's that also provided a radar mask near the Pakistan/Afghanistan border in case s*it when sideways, even then they would have had a hard time getting the two CH-47's in there with all the AAA and SAM's they Pakistan supposedly have.

"The exact procedures for securing IFF codes aren't public"

Of course this is not public, but the Iraqis seem to have figured out how to do this. During the Iran-Iraq war somebody got into a 747 and changed the IFF code. Instead of emitting the code that identifies a plane as a civilian aircraft it emitted the code for a fighter plane. This 747 was an Irani airliner filled with passengers. When they got near to the U.S.S. Vincennes they sent up one of those missiles that can destroy an airplane before you can see it. The war was over a few days later.

Oh jeez. I realize that the above user is banned but I think I need to put my two cents here anyway.

Iran Flight 655 was not transmiting military IFF codes, in fact it was proven via recordings of the Vincennes's on board ACS that the plane was actually transmitting civilian codes. They also claimed that it was identified as an F-14A on descent to attack, when in fact it was found that it was actually climbing as it headed for Dubai. The Vincennes being in Iranian waters was also questionable...supposedly their helicopter took fire from nearby patrols and so they went after them, but only after the aircraft violated territorial waters to begin with.

The reasoning behind this course of action and the bogus story is irrelevant to the point I'm making. One would have to have been living under a rock to believe otherwise with the evidence and media coverage the incident got, or just too young to remember.

Retro, he was just another UFO nutter that was just using the forum to try an justify his wonky theories, honestly its not surprising he would deny the facts about the incident. Dont sweat it. :P

scorpio213, please see my post in the other thread. There were no RPGs. The SEALS were not engaged in a firefight at any time during the raid.

First part might be true, but certainly not the last. They were under fire as soon as they touched down.

Had a family friend just retire (30+ years in)from the 82nd , he had some nice video of him taking out a chemical catch and sinking a Syrian tramp freighter with a nuclear missile rigged to blow. now the kicker the chemical catch was south of Corpus Christy the tramp freighter was outside Boston Harbor.

His specialty was anti terror - Middle East . He has other tales of his work but they are not declassified yet.

No conspiracy theory But my younger brother got a lot of black hawk rides.....lucky bstard

So what I'm understanding is that it was a special MH-60 with signature reduction surfaces?

So far it looks that way. Probably not a "snap-on" kit that has been speculated, most likely something related to that UH-60 based platform that quellish talked about on the previous page. It was a low-observable experimental with a more complex package than the kit mods. Air Gopher posted some interesting profiles on another page showing some kind of LO fuselage design study from some tech report, which might be related to the aforementioned LO experimental.
