Next is the Mi-46 which is a planned version of the Mi-26 series with half of it's original payload capacity to closely match the Mi-171 and to replace the Mi-6 and Mi-10 series. Two versions were proposed. The first is a basic transport as the Mi-17 and the second is a flying crane. Here is the list:

Mi-46T - Basic transport to replace Mi-6.

Mi-46K - Flying crane to replace Mi-10.

The Mi-52 "Snegir" ("Bullfinch") was a part of a program for a light utility helicopter with four seats but was not produced. There were two planned versions. Here is the list:

Mi-52-1 - Basic version with single turboshaft engine.

Mi-52-2 - Twin-engine version.

The Mi-54 was a planned replacement to the Mi-2 and Mi-8/17 series which almost resembles the Agusta / Westland AW-139. It is not yet known how far the program has gone.

Next is the Mi-60 which is a project for a light two-seat helicopter similar to the Hughes OH-6 series. There are different proposals so here is a list with official designations:

Mi-60MAI - Basic version ("MAI" indicating development under leadership of M. N. Tishchenko of the Moscow Aviation Institute).

Mi-115 - No details yet.

Now to complete the designation system is the Mi-X1 program for high-speed helicopters with a vectored pusher propeller much like on the Piasecki "Pathfinder". Two versions were proposed. Here is the list:

Mi-X1 (Mi-Kh1) - First concept with medium transport capability.

MRVK UCAR - Unmanned Multirole Robotic Helicopter Complex.

in a rough estimate how many Mil types and variants are there?

Now to answer your question. This is quite difficult but we can come up with the following:

30 major designations, 52 total major designations including unbuilt projects and subdesignations, 290+ total built types (for each 30-52 designations), and a full total of 335+ types including unbuilt projects and unknown types and unnammed variants.

Please note there may be much more since some designation systems vary (namely the Mi-8/9/17/18/19/171/172 series of designations) and are either incomplete or not organized in a specific system.

Hate to be "that guy" but you're missing quite a few electronic warfare variants in the Mi-8/17 series. When I settle in from moving I'll try and get around to digging out my lists.

Light Helicopter from "Russian Helicopters" Helicopter light class. Another direction of the holding's work is the creation of a single-engine light multi-purpose helicopter with a maximum take-off weight of up to 2 tons.

The flying laboratory wings have moved down simply. Probably, to remove from the flow from the screw and reduce the blowing resistance
